Terms & Conditions – Musician Love and Custom Songs

Effective date: October 6, 2026

These Terms govern the websites, forms, creator roster, custom-song services, courses, communities, communications, and related services operated by Composition Matters LLC under Musician Love and Musician Love Custom Songs (“Musician Love,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using a Service, submitting a form, registering, or purchasing, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. A written quote, project agreement, license, split sheet, guest-musician agreement, or other project document may add terms for a project and controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Authority

You must be 18 or older to purchase, register as a creator, or enter an agreement. A minor may participate only with a parent or legal guardian. You confirm that your information is accurate and that you have authority to submit materials and enter the applicable agreement.

2. Requests, Booking, Pricing, and Payment

A request form is an inquiry, not a confirmed booking. A project begins only after written scope and pricing are accepted, required agreements are completed, and any required deposit or payment clears. The quote or agreement identifies the package, add-ons, schedule, revisions, deliverables, credits, ownership, and permitted uses. Taxes, transaction fees, specialty talent, scope changes, extra revisions, and rush work may be separately quoted. Cancellation, refund, and late-payment terms appear in the applicable quote, invoice, or project agreement.

3. Client Materials and Creative Process

You retain your original lyrics and other materials unless a written agreement says otherwise. You confirm that you own or have permission to submit them and that they do not unlawfully infringe rights, disclose private information without permission, or contain unlawful or defamatory material. You give us a limited license to review, edit, arrange, and share submitted materials with approved project participants only as needed to quote, produce, deliver, and administer the project. We may decline content that presents legal, safety, or rights concerns.

Music involves creative judgment. We work from the accepted brief but cannot guarantee an exact emotional or commercial result. We will not copy a protected recording, composition, or living artist’s distinctive identity. Turnaround time, revision rounds, delivery files, and approval milestones are set by the project documents.

4. Ownership, Credits, Splits, and Uses

Your original lyrics remain yours. Rights in any new melody, composition, arrangement, master recording, performance, production, or contribution—and all writer, publisher, performer, producer, master, and royalty splits—are determined only by a written project agreement and, when applicable, a signed split sheet.

Personal packages cover private sharing and celebrations only as stated in writing. Paid advertising, resale, public campaigns, synchronization, broadcast, monetization, distribution, or full copyright/master buyouts require separate written commercial terms, additional fees, and any required participant approvals. No ownership or license transfers until required payments clear and the written terms are satisfied. Third-party creators retain rights not expressly transferred.

5. Creator Roster

Registration does not guarantee work, placement, representation, or income. Opportunities depend on project fit, skill, style, availability, budget, and client needs. Creators may accept or decline opportunities. Compensation or royalty splits, credits, schedule, deliverables, ownership, confidentiality, and uses will be provided in writing before work begins.

Registrations remain private during review. A creator profile will be published only after the creator reviews and approves its details and sample links. Creators retain ownership of submitted samples and confirm permission to share them for evaluation and approved display.

6. Confidentiality, Site Use, and Intellectual Property

Unreleased lyrics, briefs, drafts, demos, ideas, negotiations, and private project communications must not be copied, disclosed, posted, distributed, or reused outside the project without written permission. A project-specific confidentiality agreement controls covered material.

You may use the Services only for their intended purpose. You may not scrape, copy, resell, disrupt, probe, impersonate, harass, introduce malware, infringe rights, or use the Services unlawfully. Musician Love branding, site text, designs, course materials, tools, graphics, audio, and video are owned by Composition Matters LLC or its licensors and may not be reused without written permission.

7. Third-Party Services, Disclaimers, and Liability

Hosting, forms, CRM, communications, signatures, payments, analytics, and delivery may be provided by third parties under their own terms. Services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee project acceptance, income, placement, audience response, advertising performance, platform approval, or uninterrupted access. Educational and wellness materials are not medical, psychological, legal, tax, or financial advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Composition Matters LLC and its project participants are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, lost profits, opportunities, goodwill, or data. Total liability for a paid service will not exceed the amount paid for that service during the 12 months before the claim, except where law does not permit that limit. You agree to indemnify Composition Matters LLC from third-party claims arising from materials you submit, missing permissions, misuse, or material violation of these Terms.

8. Law, Changes, and Contact

Florida law governs these Terms. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes through written notice and good-faith discussion. Unless a project agreement or applicable law requires otherwise, proceedings must be brought in courts serving Escambia County, Florida. We may update these Terms prospectively; the effective date identifies the current version. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain effective.

Copyright notices must identify the work, the allegedly infringing material and location, your contact information, good-faith belief of unauthorized use, an accuracy-and-authority statement under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic signature.
